It's amazing to me how different the boys are.
Most people think that they look so much like each other, but as parents we would probably be the last to agree with that. We do agree that they look like brothers.
Their personalities are so different that you'd think they came from different families completely. Obviously they each received their own set of genes, and God made them who they are, to be unique and unlike any other. And we love that about them!
One thing that always astonishes me is how they play when they are away from each other. Ninety nine percent of the time they are together and have a love/hate relationship, like any siblings should. Mostly they love each other, but rivalry rears its ugly head and someone is bawling over something. (I'm sure this is all ringing a bell with parents of 2 or more kids.) When they are apart from each other they can play so nicely by themselves. The other isn't there to take something away, or be caught up in interest as to what the other is doing.
This night, Harrison wanted to play in the tub, and Emmett was happy to play with the basket that we keep all of the bath items in.
It was so quiet in out house, that I think I actually could think. I basically didn't want it to end. It was a weird sensation to have it be so quiet in our house. It hasn't sounded that way in a long time. And well, we all know that the decibel level will be raised again in approximately 5 short months, and my ability to ignore that sound will just be increased.
